The Save Our Seas Foundation is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We collect information from our users at several different points on our website.
We use IP addresses to track website visits, analyze trends, administer the site, and gather demographic information for analysis. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Please note that during your visits to SOSF websites you may notice some cookies that are not related to the Save Our Seas Foundation. When you visit a page with content embedded from, for example, Vimeo or Twitter, you may be presented with cookies from these websites. Whenever you post content to the Save Our Seas Foundation site, such as a comment on a blog post, this content will become part of the website. In some instances, the Save Our Seas Foundation will need to moderate and/or approve submitted content before it becomes visible on our website.
If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information such as name and email address. This allows the Save Our Seas Foundation to send you emails about our work. You can opt out of receiving the newsletter by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter.
The Save Our Seas Foundation will keep your information confidential except where disclosure is required or permitted by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies) or as described in the section “Offensive or Inappropriate Content” below.

SERVER LOG FILES
We automatically collect and store information that your browser transmits to use in “server log files” on our server. These contain:
– Browser type and browser version
– Operating system used
– Referrer URL
– Host name of the accessing computer
– Time of the server request
– IP address
This data will not be combined with data from other sources or be used to identify individual users.
The Save Our Seas Foundation uses the following third-party services to improve the performance and usability of our site. We have signed Data Processing Agreements with these parties and require that they comply with the GDPR and respect your privacy.
CLOUDFLARE – We use Cloudflare to provide faster access to SOSF websites through their global content delivery network.

MAILCHIMP – We use MailChimp to send email newsletters to users who have signed up to receive them via the sign-up forms on SOSF websites. We use Mailchimp to track newsletter engagement through opens and clicks to better tailor their content to users’ interests. You can instantly unsubscribe from these emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter.
